We start with therapies that work. Then, we find better ways to deliver them.

The Story

Melbourne Digital Therapeutics began with a simple clinical problem: how do you give people access to effective therapy when they cannot regularly get to a clinic or see a clinician?

Professor Adam Vogel developed a digital speech therapy program through the University of Melbourne, Australia, to enable his patients to undertake intensive therapy at home. The approach gave people greater access, flexibility and autonomy, while maintaining the clinical principles underpinning their treatment.

That work became SpeechATTAX — the first digital therapeutic from Melbourne Digital Therapeutics.

But speech is only the beginning. We are building a platform to translate evidence-based therapies into digital interventions across multiple areas of health, with future applications spanning communication, paediatrics, cognition, movement and beyond.

Our goal is straightforward: take therapies that work and make them available to more people, wherever they are.

Built around people.

Technology alone doesn’t make a therapy better.

We design our digital therapeutics around the people who will actually use them — patients, families and clinicians. That means understanding what people need from therapy, what makes it difficult to access or sustain, and how digital delivery can make treatment more practical without losing the clinical principles that make it effective.

Our products are informed by clinical evidence, shaped by lived experience and continually refined through research and real-world use.

The result is a different approach to digital therapeutics: start with the therapy, understand the person, and use technology to improve how care can be delivered.
